Organization is coming soon... this is just an image dump

This version of Death by Monkeys was pretty successful, the actuated spikes acted as both a weapon and as a lifter.

This is the insides of an earlier version of Death by Monkeys.  It had drill motors for a drive system (which were actually better than the crappy Astroflight 40 motors), but it only had static spikes.

Silverback (aka. The Killa Gorilla) was built for Robotica which was more of an obstacle course competition with elements of fighting.  The original version had much bigger wheels for big ground clearance.  The version you see here was modified for fighting.

This is "Last Minute Monkey", this is what you get when it's a few days before the competition and you don't have a robot. It is basically 2 motors bolted onto a base plate with some space for the internal components.  Using multiple hinges for the front wedge was a bad idea, it didn't float very well and ended up getting stuck during most of its fights.

This is a picture of the Lynx Motion Viper sumo kit.  I entered a modified version of it under the name of "More Delicious Monkeys"

This is me with a badly injured leg.  How'd I do it? click here...

This is me after winning the Seattle Bug Battle II.  I've managed to luck into a few competition wins over the years.

This is Pam, my wife and team member.  She excellent at announcing events and getting the crowds interested.  She's also built a few bots herself.

This is an early picture of my newest robot, Pop Goes the Monkey.

This is "Organ Grinder", a 3lb robot.  The weapon was only marginally effective, luckily it had a strong drive train and when I put a wedge on the front it was an effective pushy bot.
