Why would I spend money on something that just gets destroyed?
Although it is true that destruction is sometimes the name of the game, with a little careful planning you can keep all of those expensive parts safe. This isn't to say that you'll never lose a part but you can keep the expensive electronics safely tucked away in the center of the robot and minimize the costs of damage.
